March 2013 Color Challenge

Download HERE

I came across the March 2013 Color Challenge by KimB in the forum at Scrap Matters and decided I would create a little mini kit for the challenge. The colors Kim chose for this month grabbed me. I haven't done any designing in a few years and found this challenge fun.

The kit includes:
8 papers
1 bee bear
1 bird
1 fabric flower
1 bow
1 button
1 crochet flower
1 doodle flower
1 feather
1 frame cluster
2 flip flops
1 heart
1 red flower
1 leaf stem
2 glitter splatters
1 rolled flower
1 tag

Hope you enjoy the kit.

Feeling Cozy

I love Christmas and these are a few of my favorit photos. I used Cozy Christmas by ValC and Pink Reptile Designs, Jokerman font.

My two youngest were posing in front of the Christmas tree when Jazz, our Bassett, decided to get some good sugar. The kids responded just like you would expect, which made for some pretty fun photos. I will treasure these photos for years to come.

Wall Art Project

I've finished a wall art project to hang over my bed and I love how it turned out.

I needed something over my bed so I went to Hobby Lobby and found that their framed wall art wa 50% off. The frames were 12 x 12 and the edges were already painted black which I knew would be just what I needed to match my bed. All I had to do was cover the printed surface with my choice of scrapbook paper. I chose papers from Simple Stories - Generations, which I purchased from The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie, Texas. These papers match my comforter perfectly.

All I did was Mod Podge the paper over the printed square surface, let it dry, add my embellishments and hang on the wall. Easy!

If I can do this, you can, too. Just look around for the best deal on the frames. Some frames are way too expensive, especially when you can find them cheaper if you just look around.

Have fun!
